Positive cash flow
I target rentals where the income can remain meaningful even if property prices temporarily fall.
From Adelaide to U.S. residential real estate
I grew up in Adelaide and now live back home in Adelaide after 18 years in the USA. I offer practical, face-to-face mentorship for Adelaide investors who want to understand, evaluate and purchase residential rental property in the United States.
Face-to-face in Adelaide CBD or via Zoom.
About your mentor
I grew up in Adelaide and spent 18 years living in the United States. Over that time, I built extensive first-hand experience buying, selling and managing residential investment property across New York City, Western Maryland, Pittsburgh and Florida.
I have owned more than 50 houses over my career, managed as many as 37 properties at one time, and currently own 16 residential rentals — a mix of long-term rentals and three Airbnbs. I returned to Adelaide with my family in January 2026 and have continued investing in the U.S., including two additional Pittsburgh purchases since moving home.
I was also a partner in the Newenham development in Mount Barker, giving me direct experience with property and development from both an Australian and U.S. perspective.
Why I still invest in the U.S.
My approach is built around income first: buy at an accessible price, aim for durable rental demand, use professional management, and hold for the long term rather than relying on appreciation alone.
I target rentals where the income can remain meaningful even if property prices temporarily fall.
In some U.S. markets, around US$100,000 can still buy an income-producing single-family home.
A strong local property manager can handle leasing, rent collection, maintenance coordination and tenant communication.
U.S. property ownership can include deductions and depreciation, but Australian/U.S. cross-border tax advice is essential.
An LLC may help separate investment activity from personal assets, but it does not guarantee zero personal liability.
Lower purchase prices can make it easier to build a diversified portfolio over time.

Why the advice is independent
I am not currently licensed as a real estate agent in any U.S. state and I am not acting as your buyer’s agent, broker, financial adviser, tax adviser or attorney. My service is paid mentorship and consultancy based on my experience as an investor and owner.
Because I am not paid a sales commission on your purchase, I have no financial incentive to push you toward a particular property simply so a transaction closes. The goal is to help you ask better questions, understand the numbers and make your own informed decision.
FAQ
Not necessarily. Many investment purchases can be handled remotely with the right local team, but the exact process depends on the property, lender, title company and ownership structure.
Pittsburgh is currently my first-choice market for many Adelaide investors because I believe it offers an attractive balance of entry price, rental demand, economic anchors and upside. I also invest in Western Maryland and have owned property in other U.S. markets.
I can explain how I use LLCs and help you understand the practical questions to ask, but legal entity formation and legal advice should be handled by a qualified U.S. attorney or formation provider.
No. That is an example of the type of opportunity I look for, not a guarantee. Actual returns depend on rent, taxes, insurance, maintenance, vacancies, management fees, financing, repairs and the purchase price.
